DAVID SMITH

Biographie de l'auteur Joan Pachner has published and lectured widely on David Smith's work. She pioneered the study of the artist's photographs in her contribution to David Smith: Photographs 1931-1965 (1998), and with presentations on this subject at University College London in 2004 and at the Solomon R Guggenheim Museum, New York, in 2006. She has also contributed to such publications as The Fields of David Smith (1997) and Painted Steel : The Late Work of David Smith (1998). As an independent art historian, Pachner specializes in modern sculpture and lectures at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
