A la suite d'attaques cérébrales. elle était devenue. à quatre-vingt-dix ans passés. presque incapable de parler. axait des " absences " et nécessitait des soins constants. Maintenant, il n'y a plus de mots est une chronique émouvante. tenue par sa fille. des dix-sept derniers mois de sa vie. L'impossibilité de communiquer avec sa mère, connue depuis toujours pour son talent d'expression, fut d'abord pour Reeve une expérience frustrante et douloureuse. Un commentaire choquant ou simplement déplacé d'Anne Lindbergh la plongeait dans le désarroi, faute de comprendre ce qui se passait dans l'esprit de sa mère.
