Résumé :
The book offers concise and essential coverage of the science and engineering of ship hydrodynamics and has been developed for pragmatically inclined readers. Applications are presented of several types of ships, from merchant and military ships, from high speed craft to sailing boats, green ships and ice breakers, from FPSO to hybrid ships like such as in ground effect craft. The present work brings out findings not only in the main topics of ship hydrodynamics but also in such related topics as ship control and marine robotics exemplified by autonomous surface vehicles, autonomous underwater vehicles and their avatars like robotic fishes. The work includes also the latest developments of numerical methods.
