Biographie de l'auteur Lionel Lambourne was head of paintings at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, from 1986 to 1993. He has travelled widely as a curator of exhibitions in Britain, Germany and Japan, and has had a longstanding interest in the dialogue between Japan and the West.
