Musée des Confluences Spirit of place Standing at the tip of Lyon's Presqu'île district, where the Saône flows into the Rhône, the Musée des Confluences is the successor of the former Musée Guimet and the Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle, to whose collections it has given a new configuration. With its spectacular design by Coop Himmelb(l)au, and its location between two rivers, the building combines the transparency of a "Crystal" and the reverie of a "Cloud". Bringing together arts, sciences and technologies, along with the birth of the universe and the history of humanity, this resolutely innovative museum is a forum for interaction and dialogue, open to all.
